Santiago Trujillo, culture as a bridge between Bogotá and Catalonia

bonart bogotà - 22/10/26
.

The second chapter of Bonart Conversations , hosted by Fernando Cuevas Ulitzsch, brings together Santiago Trujillo Escobar, Secretary of Culture, Recreation and Sport of Bogotá, and David Places, representative of the Generalitat of Catalonia, in a dialogue on public management, cultural policies and international cooperation.

The conversation addresses the role of culture as a space for encounter and social transformation, as well as the opportunities to strengthen ties between Catalonia and Colombia through shared projects, knowledge exchange, and collaboration between cultural institutions and agents.

A cultural manager, musician, and audiovisual producer, Trujillo has extensive experience in the sector. Before assuming his current role, he created and directed the District Institute of the Arts (Idartes) for five years, where he promoted artistic practices and contributed to the development of Bogotá's main cultural venues.

With this new episode, Bonart Conversations continues to generate spaces for reflection on the challenges of contemporary culture and the possibilities of building new networks of cooperation between territories and creative communities.
